The National Institute of Traditional Medicine

This building displays panels explaining the principles of traditional Drukpa medicine (quite esoteric) and samples of medicinal plants growing on the soil of Bhutan. There are also spaces for doctors to see patients and a small pharmacy.
Most Bhutanese would much rather be treated with traditional plants than western medicines. And those that are inclined to trust western remedies are likely to fly to Bangkok to be treated or operated on.
