On Saint Nicholas island

Saint Nicholas is famous in Turkey. He is a 4th century saint, bishop of the town of Myra and he is the patron of fishermen and of children (also of bakers, brewers and brides!). On the island are the ruins of one of his churches, and it is set in such a way that we are all standing here in parts of the apse.
